Terry S Wills MIDDLETOWN, Ohio | For Frank Boulton post- I was at Davis-Monthan in 1968-1969. I was in POL refueling also. I also wish I had a nickle for every gallon of JP-4 I put on an F-4. I went to Vietnam after Davis-Monthan in Sept 69 to Sept 70.( Ton Son Nhut-Saigon) Refueled aircraft over in Nam also. At D-M, do you remember a guy named Jack Tarr? Friend of mine who hung out with me at the Cedars on Speedway. D-M was good duty. Went to live in Vail AZ, not far from D-M in 2004. Stayed from July, 2004 to March- 2005 and came back to Ohio. No good paying jobs in Tucson, just service-oriented low paying. Had to come back to make any money.Good times in Tucson. 07/18/2007 @ 10:36 [ref: 6110] |
Bob Maddern Tucson, Arizona | Reference the enquiry by Katie Schiller (ref 3526), the company where I work salvages ex-boneyard aircraft. We have worked with Moto Art in supplying parts and materials to them.
If she could contact me at the above e-mail address I can send her some photos to show what we have available. We have 707, C-130, A-7, OV-1, C-119, HH-3, T-33, HUP-2 and assorted parts from other aircraft. We would be happy to deal with her. 05/02/2007 @ 17:14 [ref: 5891] |

Bob Shepard Westminster, Colorado | I am writing to ask for your help. A Cold War/Peace museum has been proposed for a long vacant S.A.G.E. (Semi-Automatic Ground Environment) direction center located on the grounds of Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, NY (formerly Stewart Air Force Base). Apparently, the British owned company that is currently operating the Airport has relaeased a new "Master Plan" that includes demolition of the S.A.G.E. building. How can you help? Just click on the link that I have included with this message and tell them what you think. The link is to the proposed museums' website. Thank you in advance for any and all encouragement, suggestions or support!

Art Woolis Lyndhurst, New Jersey | In 1969 I was stationed at U-Tapao as a crew chief and my plane was 659. If anybody knows the whereabouts of 659 please let me know. Is this plane actually on display at Davis-Monthan?

Frank Boulton Broadview Hts, Ohio | I was stationed at Davis Monthan for 27 months from 1967 to 1969 before I was sent to Thailand. While at the base I was in refueling. I refuled more F4 Phantoms than I care to remember. I'll say in closing that it was a wonderful base and I have many fond memories. In 1998 my wife and I visited Tucson and took a tour of the base and the storage area it changed alot.
