My first permanent station from June 1974 to October 1980. I was one of the first women to work on the Phase Team with the BEAUTIFUL B-52 from the F model to the H model. I was one of the first to work on all areas of the aircraft, including the engines! Do I have stories! Contact me!

Awsome museum, especially the RB-36 and the SR-71. By the way, the KC-97 is still on display.

Unbelievable museum, well worth the time to go and visit. I'm looking for anyone who was stationed at castle over the years who might have some interesting stories or missions that they would be willing to share. I'm a U.S. history teacher in the area and I try to incorporate Castle history into the classroom especially when I teach about the Cold War. Please send me an e-mail with any interesting info you might have.

 Sunderland - Tyne and Wear,

Hello from England. I have been looking for pics of other Vulcans around the world and was so glad to see your plane. We have xh558 just about ready to fly and our Vulcan XL319 - is hopefully getting a new paint job son and is being repaired as best as we can do her under the circumstances. Both planes can be seen on youtube

A great display of many aircraft. All the planes are displayed outside so pick a sunny day. All the aircraft are seperated so that a picture maybe taken from almost any angle; unlike a lot inside air museums where the aircraft are packed so tightly together. There is a great variety of aircraft from WWII vintage bombers up to present day fighters. A great collection of cold war jets along with MAC planes. Take your camera, a bottle of water and an umbrella if it is summertime. One of the best museums you will see!!! PS.They just got a spanking new F-14D from NAS Oceana and they just finished a an outstanding restoration of a F-106 Delta Dart.
