Stephen Lancaster, California | I've been to Chino twice in my life, once when I was a teenager in the 90's and now in my thirties. It's amazing to see my old Kodak's of these magnificent planes compared to the digitals I now have, and it's a credit to the staff that the planes are so well taken care of.
There is a collection of aircraft in the rear of the museum that is awaiting restoration, including several A-4's, an F-104, a Crusader, and an engineless F-14. I can see a "Jet Fighter" hanger in the future filled with these beautiful machines.
The collection is second to none, and the restoration work is somewhere between the realm of spectacular and breathtaking. This is definitely a museum worth visiting if your within a 5 hour driving radius. 12/09/2007 @ 21:46 [ref: 6570] |

Chino, CA – March 31, 2007 -- To everyone who has been following the progress of Team Comet: just to let you know that we have been working hard to finish the restoration of The Air Museum Planes of Fame’s YP-59A Airacomet, S/N 42-108777, to flight status in time for the 2007 Air Show (May 19 & 20), but we are going to come up a few months short. You can now expect us to finish it by late this summer. But watch for it to fly again on the anniversary of its maiden flight -- October 1, 1942 -- 65 years ago! Please visit our P-59 page for recent photos and more updates. 04/02/2007 @ 13:59 [ref: 5777] |

Dave Mori , California | One of the better air museums I have seen. They recently (2007) completed a modernization of the main building as well as a consolidation of the museum into one area (you used to have to go down the street to see jets). Some plane are flyable. Others are incomplete wrecks (like the B-50 and a battle damaged old Vietnam Era F-100 Super Sabre that looks like it took engine and tail damage from a heat seeking SAM. They have some vehicles here like an M4 Sherman and an M3 Stuart tanks, a few others. They always seem to be trying to restore several airplanes. 02/23/2007 @ 23:41 [ref: 5647] |

Mike Frost Blackpool, | Fantastic museum some very fine aircraft and some airworthy well worth the visit 03/30/2006 @ 11:27 [ref: 4926] |
John Hutchinson Gateshead, Tyne & Wear, | Fantastic museum, better than the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, England as I could get closer to the aircraft. Also a lot of the WWII aircraft are flyable. Definitely worth a visit. 11/22/2004 @ 01:26 [ref: 3585] |
