 Indiana Jones
 I, Indiana

23 Mayıs 2008'de Türkiye sinemalarına iki yeni film gösterime giriyor. İlk filmimiz başrollerinde Scarlett Johansson, Eric Bana ve Natalie Portman oynadığı, Justin Chadwick yönettiği The Other Boleyn Girl / Boleyn Kızı. Diğer filmimiz kült haline gelmiş Indiana Jones serisinin son halkası, devam filmi olan Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull /Indiana Jones ve Kristal Kafatası Krallığı . İlk iki filminde yönetmeni olan, Steven Spielberg gene iş başında -zaten başka birini düşünemiyorum- Harrison Ford'u zaten Star Wars'da Han Solo ile çok sevmiş, Indiana Jones karakteriylede başımızın tacı yapmıştık. Serinin ilki filmi Raiders of the Lost Ark ile 1981 yıllında oldukça büyük başarı yakalayıp 5 Oskar ödülü kazanan ve ardıdan 1984 yılında Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ile iki dalda Oskar'a aday gösterilip En İyi Görsel Efekt dalında oskarı kazandı. Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull /Indiana Jones ve Kristal Kafatası Krallığı içinde Oskar aday gösterileceğine ve en az bir dalda ödül kazanacağı son dedikodular arasında...

If you wish to see the aircraft at the museum come to www.grissomairmuseum.com. We now have 25 aircraft on display. Also if you were ever stationed at BFNAS, BHAFB, GAFB or GARB could you email me, we are trying to put together a list of people who served on base or if you have anything you wish to donate from your time here, we accept all.

I served at Grissom during 1990-1992 with the 305th. I will always remember the great friends and atmohsphere Grissom presented to all who served there. I miss those days sitting inside the NCO Club listening to "Born To Be Wild" on the jokebox and watching the KC-135's fly off into the sunset, it was a great feeling of accomplisment as a Crew Chief in the 305th. The only thing that happened on that base that was out of the ordinary was when OSI ended up with my bike in their office three different times. I got to admit, since having those Officer/NCO BBQ's inside the hangars, my cheeseburgers have never tasted the same since, gosh those were good days. It was sad after Clinton became President that the base was soon shut down and turned into a Reserve Base. Lt. Col Kaufman gave his last speech telling us the U.S.A. would never be the same with Clinton in office. He retired a month later. I didn't realize exactly what he meant until later. Today, the Clintons are still trying to protect their seats, but that reason can be found by watching the "Clinton Chronicles" on google video. It is horrifying. Well I hope all who served at Grissom had a chance to experience the atmosphere and joy I had encountered there. God Bless America and we shall always remember our days at Grissom. Added Note: I stopped in at Grissom in 1995 and it truly was a big change. My dorm had cameras all over the place and someone said it was to be some sort of Prison, but it never went through that I know of. However, stopping over at Supply and walking through a hangar or two flooded me with a ton of great memories. It was still a good feeling. I just wanted to ask the man in supply for my toolbox and head out to the flight line.

I've been a fan of the Grissom Air Park for as many years as I can remember and I've always loved stopping there on my way to and from Indy and Evansville. I'm now a Captain in the Air Force and still love driving by Grissom, however, now that the gate is up I can't stop by and see my beloved Hustler anymore (always early in the morning or late at night - catching flights out of Indy). One time it was even during "operating" hours but the doors were still locked. Would you please consider taking the lock of the fence so patrons can see the planes day/night? If someone really wants to vandalize they're just going to jump over the 5 foot fence anyway. Keep up the great work though!

During my 20+ year Air Force career I was fortunate to be stationed at Grissom AFB three times. 1964 thru 1965(then Bunker Hill AFB).Feb.1970-May.1971, and Oct.1978-Oct.1981. When first stationed there I was assigned to the 305th AEMS and worked in the radio maintenance shop on the B-58, and KC-135's. Both of my next two tours of duty at Grissom I was assigned to the 305th AMS Paccs shop and worked and flew exclusively on the EC-135L's. I had many flight hours on EC-135L 61-0269,I had worked on B-58 61-663. both of which are in the museum there.

Looking for anyone who knew Andrew LeBeau. He was stationed at Grissom AFB with the 305th FMS from 1965-Nov.1967. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

I was station at Bunker Hill AFB from the fall of 1959 to June 1963 with the 305th OMS. The a/c that I was assigned to was a KC-l35 #59-1443, New, right off the production line. MSgt Theodore Higgins was the crew chief in the beginning. We all flew many hours with the 68th Air Refueling Squadron. During the Cuban Crisis we were sent to Moron Spain. Your exhibits are great. A special note regarding the B-47 on display. This a/c made a hard landing at Bunker Hill and as a result there is serious internal damage that caused it to be taken off the line. We tore the fence down and towed the A/C out front for display. (In fact, I drove the tug.)

Nice mix of aircraft, all located outside but all in very good condition. Well placed for taking pictures regardless the position of the sun. B58 is very nice, few surprises with the Navy aircraft as with the YS11. Staff are very helpful, some cockpits in the covered museum area which are hands on.
