| Alan Dallas, Texas |  I had heard about thus museum for years and missed seeing it about 10 years ago. Well, now I know I hadn't missed much. It was interesting but the building is not air conditioned and I noted several planes had no information about them. There is nowhere near the 105 aircraft I was led to believe. Not by half. It was a little depressing, as another patron observed. The aircraft outside are in sad shape. The F-105 was especially so as it had just been restored 10 or 12 years ago. While a couple of the staff were nice, upon exiting the museum through the gift shop, the lady operating the shop seemed more concerned how I got in rather than treating me as a patron. She hadn't taken notice when I first entered and paid my fee. Several other staff seemed to care more about simply being employed than maintaining a museum & it's valuable exhibits. I think it would be best if this museum folded and the aircraft given to a museum large enough & well funded enough to maintain them in proper manner. | Al K. , Florida | A very good museum. I am particularly interested in general aviation, and that is the strong point of Mid America. It has many light planes including a good selection of homebuilts. It also has a few fine examples of WWII and Korean War Military planes as well as a few other military aircraft. Outside is a small collection of unrestored Cold War craft. The museum floor is a little crowded and you are not allowed to get very close to the planes, but the presentation is better than average. | Doug Anderson Kansas City, Kansas | We were going to Colorado and decided to stop. It is a neat ...but dead museum. We were the only ones there. No tour guides,and it was sad to hear silence. | Glenn M. Cassel, AMH1(AW), USN, RET Wichita, Kansas |  My wife and I went to see the museum in 2003. It needs and A-6 and a T-2 to make it complete. But it is an airplane junkie's dream. | Chuck Allen Topeka, Kansas | This museum is awesome. The gal from Kentucky has it all wrong. The controversy over closing the museum encouraged community involvement. They have 105 airplanes, now. The list on the site is not up-to-date as far as military aircraft. Regardless, the general aviation airplanes are every bit as interesting as the military. | Brian Johnstone Fort Worth, Texas |  What a great Museum. I visited in July 05 and I consider it well worth the diversion to go see. There are many military aircraft there but it is predominently light aircraft. Took me over 2 hours to get around and see all the planes.
