Pat Knapp St. Louis, MO, Missouri | The University of Missouri-St. Louis will offer several courses, beginning this fall, which focus on the historic aspects of transportation in the United States. This fall we will offer Aviation in American Life, to be followed by Railroads in American Life and St. Louis and the American West. All of these courses will be offered on a noncredit basis, but undergraduate and graduate credit will be available for each. John Hoover, Director of the Mercantile Library, suggested that we contact.
If you publish a newsletter for your members, we are wondering if you would be willing to include some information in your newsletter about each of the courses. Please let us know if this is a possibility, and we'll be happy to forward information for each of them. Also, we're preparing a brochure to mail to a broad audience of transportation enthusiasts. Would you be willing to provide us with your membership mailing list - in Word or Excel format - so that we can send brochures to all of your members? Or mail us your list and we'll enter it here for producing mailing labels?
Please contact us if you have questions. Thank you and we look forward to your response. 07/07/2004 @ 14:55 [ref: 3264] |
Rick Homan St. Louis, Missouri | Joe Steimann did a fantastic job on 68-465 that is located next to the installation entrance at Jefferson Barracks Air National Guard Station, St. Louis, MO 63125. 03/29/2004 @ 15:13 [ref: 3037] |
Joe Steimann St. Louis, Missouri | I have repainted all of the 131st Fighter wing's static display air craft in the past two years including the F-4e at Jefferson Barracks, F-15 at Jefferson City and F-4c at St. Louis Regional in East Alton. I repainted them to look as original as possible and they all look very nice now. If you want any pictures of them plese e-mail me and I would be happy to send you some.
Thanks Joe steimann 03/28/2004 @ 11:50 [ref: 3035] |
C S , Missouri | Correction #68-0465 is at the Jefferson Barracks Base. 06/04/2001 @ 00:05 [ref: 1166] |
C S , Missouri | Aircraft 68-0468 is sitting at an obscure area of Jefferson Barracks ANG Base and is in poor condition. Aircraft 68-0338 (mig killer) is mounted on a concrete block (that is visible from Highway 70) at Lambert Field ANG Base. 06/03/2001 @ 23:57 [ref: 1165] |

James Butler Windsor Heights, Iowa | I`m a Florissant native, grew up watching 131st FW fly at Lambert. One of the first planes as a child was the F-100`s base at Lambert. Each Saturday morning, I would bug my father to take me to the airport to watch the F-100`s. That was the biggest thrill, I really enjoyed watching them run up their engines, 3 a breast on runway, then bang! Fire belched out the back of the plane, and your whole body shook, what a rush! I dreamed about being a F-100 pilot as a child almost every night. If possible, could you send any literature about the 131st opeational use of the F-100`s and of couse, any photos would be a pleasant extra! Thanks for your help! Keep up and safe always!!!
