Reviews / Comments by our visitors Bill H. , California | Well we need something said about the 29-FIS with our F-89, F-101, Attached to SAC KC-97, Also the ADC group. John cliffe Manchester, Great Britain, | Visited here a few years ago, a real gem of a museum, good outdoor exhibits, plenty of exhibits indoors as well, not a bit museum, but very well put together, and the people who man this museum are just great, very helpful to visitors. WORTH A VISIT

Darrell Anderson Great Falls, Montana | I may have been the last crew chief to launch B-57B 52-1505 on its last operational mission. As a former B-57E crew chief once stationed at Malmstrom with the 17thDSES, and due to its finicky cartridge-start ritual, I was frequently tasked to "turn" any transient B-57's that landed at the Montana Air Guard, where I have worked since 1981. The pilot said that he was landing at Malmstrom after his mission, and the aircraft was "going on a pole". This was around 1985 or '86 if I remember correctly.
By the way, the flightline guys (& gals) of the 17th DSES claimed that DSES stood for "Duty Saturday and Every Sunday". 03/29/2006 @ 11:19 [ref: 4922] |
Curious WINSFORD, Alaska | Who took the nuclear weopons OFF LINE in 1967?
Ever wondered how? more importantly why?
Question, if one can do that, then what about the launch codes?
Strange things happen and they are not all public domain are they?
Or maybe its all just dis-information? 02/21/2002 @ 18:00 [ref: 1894] |
Benjamin Donnelly , Montana | The Malmstrom AFB museum is not well advertised, but it is definitely worth a look. The interior has been completely redone and includes now a full mockup of a Minuteman launch capsule, among others, and also has one of the largest model collections in the Pacific Northwest. 01/30/2002 @ 16:39 [ref: 1832] |
