Daniel L. Berek Flanders, New Jersey | This is a small museum but one definitely worth visiting for both its emphasis on the role of New Jerseyans in aviation (which was considerable) and its rare aircraft. Although only the Sikorsky HH-52A (S-62A) is mentioned, the museum hosts an extremely rare Lockheed L-402 (one of only two built; the other having crashed) and the only Martin 202A in existence. Alas, the latter is in poor condition, stored without its wings, but you can board the aircraft and take a trip back in time, as the flight deck and interior are complete. Anyway, let the high-rollers keep their toy jets (which seem to take off every minute from adjacent Teterboro Airport - give me one of these propliner classics any day. If you want to see some preview picts, I have them posted here:

Chris McKenna Hackensack, New Jersey | growing up 5 minutes from the museum, you can imagine how much time i spend there. Also being in a CAP unit based at TEB, i am there every week. I would reccomend this as a stop for anyone. Esp to see the HH-52 and the great M.A.S.H. exibit.

Larry Korona , New Jersey | A great place to learn about the history of aviation in the Garden State! With the expansion of the museum a few years ago, they now have the room to display their exhibits. Well worth the time! Located on the east side of the field next to the tower. 01/20/2001 @ 16:09 [ref: 765] |
Julia Spears , Texas | This used to be one of my favorite places to visit when I lived in New Jersey. Hope it's still as good! 07/12/2000 @ 16:07 [ref: 303] |
