John Dettinger ( Airshow Fanatic) west chester, Pennsylvania | This airshow is going bye-bye along with the base! 09/23/2005 @ 19:09 [ref: 4457] |
John R. Tay Hackensack, New Jersey | Can someone tell me about the air shows that are mentioned? I\'d love to drive out to see one. 09/06/2005 @ 21:47 [ref: 4413] |
Pat , Pennsylvania | Took grandchildren to airshow at Willow Grove. GREAT SHOW. We really enjoyed it. Purchased, for my grandson, from one of the vendors that was there that day, a model of the Blue Angels plane. Unfortunately the plastic canopy came off and I super glued it. Only the glue caused a film to develope on the inside of the canopy. Needless to say my grandson is not very happy with me. Can anyone tell me how I can get another plane? I have tried getting the names of the vendors that were at the show that day, but have had no luck. Thanks for any help anyone can give me. 07/27/2005 @ 12:42 [ref: 4286] |
angie , New Jersey | I see several Blue Angels lovers here. If you can, get to Pensacola - see the base location on this web site. The Blue Angels practice Tues & Weds - no admission. Bleachers are set-up at the field. They give autographs and talk with the crowd after the show - geared toward kids. They can perform maneuvers in practice that they cannot perform at the public shows. Also, the air museum there is fantastic. We spent 2 full days and barely scratched the surface. 07/16/2005 @ 05:56 [ref: 4254] |
John Dettinger ( Airshow Fanatic) west chester, Pennsylvania | That was one cool airshow! Only problem.... The Weather! It began to lightning and thunder when we watched the Blue Angels! The 2nd problem... THE CROWD! As we exited, hoards of people were exiting the air field so we got delayed trying to get out! In 2003 when I attened the 43' to 03' Airpower at The Grove, Tropical Depression Henri' ruined the Saturday show but Sunday's show was much better! The 2002 airshow had overcast all day! The 2000 show had cluds in the morning but there was an F-14 Crash in the end that killed David Erick Bergstrom and Bill Dey! So the airshow was exceptional! 07/14/2005 @ 19:23 [ref: 4251] |
Josh Forteza Downingtown, Pennsylvania | I am part of the Civil Air Patrol. I helped run this airshow, and i have to say, it was one of the best airshows i have ever been involved with! The blue angels were amazing, however, beause of the fact i had to park well over 10,000 people over the entire weekend, i am sunburned like nothing else...hope you all enjoyed that FUN and SAFE show!!! ((i had to look in your purses too :P)) 05/29/2005 @ 19:13 [ref: 4102] |
