| Bob Leary Roanoke, Virginia |  I was viewing the web site if the Air Museum in Hampton, and noticed no mention of an F-106 Delta Dart or an F-15 Eagle. Both aircraft were a major part of Langley AFB. in Hampton through the years, mostly with the 48th Fighter Interceptor Squadron and 1st AF. | Mike L. Newport News, Virginia | Right now the museum building seems be be closed down for repairs or something - it looks like it's been shut down for a long time. You can still go walk around the outside displays, though, which is really interesting. Many of them are showing some signs of weather such as peeling paint, deteriorated rubber/plastic, some mild vandalism, etc. Still, it's really cool to be able to walk right up to and around the planes. | Peter Hempfling Richmond, Virginia | I LOVE the Air Power Park! I too am dismayed by the obvious lack of upkeep of the outdoor exhibits, but it sure is fun to stroll amongst them. When I went earlier this month the museum was closed for renovation, so hopefully they'll be able to get to work on the planes after that! | Jeff Barbour Hampton, Virginia |  I am a Native to Hampton. We have the Air Power Park on Mercury Blvd and Space & Science Museum that use to be on base on the NASA side. It is now in Downtown Hampton. They have the old Merry Go Round from the Buckroe Beach Amusement Park era 1922. | Greg Donahoe Warren, Michigan | Stopped by on a recent business trip to the area. I thought the displays were great. Granted, the park clearly doesn't have a lot of money for upkeep, but they have preserved a lot of interesting displays that would have otherwise been lost to industry. | angie , New Jersey | The Air Power Park is well worth the visit, not only because it's free (although a donation is needed), but because they have decent displays of rockets, models, historic documents and tributes to our astronauts.
