Randy Brinkman Welland, ON | Did you know that a full sized replica of the Silver Dart is being built by a group in Ontario Canada. It's being built in Welland and we intended to fly it later this fall in preparation for the 100th aniversary flight on Feb 23 2009. Randy 09/01/2008 @ 17:01 [ref: 22593] |

Bob , ON | Hello, Im doing a project on the "Silver Dart" and I think it's a very interesting topic. The Silver Dart seems like a pretty cool aircraft, and John Alexander Douglas McCurdy was the right person for the first flight in Canada in the Silver Dart. Well thank you very much for the information on this site all about the Silver Dart, and on John A.D. McCurdy. Bye for now! 11/14/2005 @ 11:12 [ref: 11696] |

Unknown , AZ | It wasn;t at all what I expected, I recommend that you make it better, in any way possible cause it is plainly bad.
Thank you, 10/29/2001 @ 14:04 [ref: 3515] |
Christoher Haddon Saxmundham, FL | as The grandson of JAD McCurdy I can confirm that the first flight in the Commonwealth was indeed Febuary 23rd 1909.By all accounts he was a truly remarkable man, and apparently invented the aerolion... but he never pattened it.

Craig Vancouver, BC | Umm, how can you classify the Silver Dart as "commercial transport"? Seems a little odd to me.
The date it first flew is also incorrect. Having done some research, I don't know who to believe anymore, but it first flew in Canada on February 23, 1909. Apparently it also made a couple of flights in Hammondsport, New York, the year before as well. 08/10/2001 @ 23:58 [ref: 2892] |
