In a scrapbook started by my big brother I found a picture of a Beechcraft AT-10 Wichita with a V-tail. The picture was from a Swedish magazine sometime around 1945-1950.
Any comments/data about AT-10 with V-tail ?

I went through Flight Instructors School at Randolph Field, Texas in 1943.. The plane that was used primarily at that location was the AT-10, with a few AT-9s.

It was my only association with this plane ( About 45 days)
and I never saw one after that!

Good memories!

I have recentely recovered an AT-10 that served at Bruce field Texas. Most all metal pieces are here, although most all wood is gone.

From what I can see a lot of AT-10's served at Bruce Field (Ballanger, Tx.) and Cuero, Tx.

Are there any other AT-10's out there, or is the USAF Museum and this one it?

Does anyone know which squadrons flew these planes and where they were based? I found some photos of my father standing on and around one of these aircraft. He served several years at airbases in the states before being shipped to the Ipswich, England area.

I can remember when The scrap yard in Jackson had about 50 AT-10,s The Engines, wheels, and most of the metal parts were scrapped. The Plywood fuselage and wings were piled up for several years. Many people bought the fuselages for storage buildings. The year that I saw them was 1950.
