The C12F was upgraded with Rockwell Collins FDS-255 five tube EFIS and dual FMS3000 Flight Management Systems beginning in 2003.

More than 60 army C12's received this modification that exceeded all expectations. These aircraft including the C12F were redesignated the C12U.

Currently 92007-2008)the C12R is receiving a full avionics suite upgrade utilizing Rockwell Collins PROLINE 21.

The Fixed Wing Program Management Office at Redstone Arsenal provided oversight of both these upgrades that have brought Army FW aircraft into compliance with Global Air Traffic Management requirements.

C-12F's were great. Flew them with the 13th MAS at Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan.

Tail numbers included 84-0169,84-0170,84-0171,84-0172,84-0173,84-0174.

Anyone know where they ended up after the 13MAS was moved to McGuire AFB,NJ? 13MAS was reactivated in 1987 and went to KWRI in 1993/94(@) designated as a C-141 squadron

An excellent aircraft to fly-After nearly 1500 hours flying in Europe during 1990-93, I miss it still today.

The TCS (Touch Control Steering) option during auto-pilot operations was an excellent feature that we could use on the Beech Jet (T-1A).

Fly Safe-
