Dennis R. Deptula , IL | In 1965,I was stationed at Osan Ab, Korea and joined an Army sky diving club from the 8th Army Support Command in Seoul. We used old Army parachutes converted for sky diving and we did our jumps at Suwon AB north of Osan. Army pilots would fly down to Suwon in U6A's and we would remove the doors for easy exit. The Beaver was a great jump plane and had plenty of power to get us up quickly. 01/21/2008 @ 04:37 [ref: 19377] |

jean L. Bleneau Abbeville, CA | Lots of U-6A were offered for sale at Coleman Barracks, Mannheim-Sandhofen in Germany in feb74 and many of these are now flying in Canada or USA. But have never seen any details of the units operating these in Europe before SOC. Nor any photographs of storage. Any details welcomed! 10/19/2004 @ 19:09 [ref: 8478] |
