I was an aircraft insrument mechanic on the A-26A during my tour in NKP Thailand in 1967-1968.I had the pleasure of riding in one for a 200 mile round trip to Ubon. The pilot was showing the co-pilot the ropes, and we did some simulated bombing runs. They told me if we needed to bail,to jump and try not to hit the tail.I was sitting on a shelf behind the co-pilot with a parachute on.Quite a ride!

We have based here, to our knowledge, the only flying status, civilian owned K-model here. I have full access for photos and data requested.
This aircraft is for sale, privately owned.
This aircraft currently has the correst motors and the cropped props. It had seen duty in Korea, and has patched bullet holes within the fuselage.
Icredible aircraft, and I've personally seen it fly here locally.

I was a crew chief on the B-26 with the 5th Air Force in Japan. This was just before the Korean conflict and we would fly the 38th parallel checking shipping. Prior to the B-26 I was crew on a C-46 we flew out of Kenoya, Japan. The B-26 was a good plane. Any one else with the 5th?

I served with Det. 1, 603rd ACS, Project Big Eagle, Nakhon Phanom RTAFB, Thailand, June-Nov. 66. Worked on armament systems and guns. It was a great airplane.
