I was stationed at Alconbury from 61-Nov.63. AC Fuel Systems. Went TDY twice to Toul & Rhine-Main [supporting Army Operation "Long Thrust" Mobilization of troops from WA State to Germany.
The 10th TAC won a Presidential Unit Citation while I was there. Married a Corby girl. We have three children and I went to work forPan Am in Nov 63 till they went out of business. Went to college and seminary to become priest in the Episcopal Church.
We made many trips back to England via Pan Am. Many great memories of Alconbury, even the Cuban Missile Crisis a month before we were married was something we can now look at as a place in history.

I worked on the B-66 assigned to the 4411 FMS. Went TDY with it to Viet Nham. The named this plane right, it could destroy any maintance program, but it always flew its mission and returned. Was at Shaw from 62-66

I was stationed at RAF Alconbury from 1961-1964. I was a Radar/Navigation system repmn. I was on the Royal Flush team in 1963. Still remember the card games on the Alert trucks and many other fond memories of England and the 10th and its people.
