| Ray Meyer Sacramento, CA | The McClellan Aviation Museum has a new name and location. It is now the Aerospace Museum of California 3200 Freedom Park Drive, McClellan, CA. In Feb 2007, the Musuem held a grand openning for a 37,000 sq foot exhibition hall and a 3.5 acre paved air park. The new facilities are constructed on the former grass field where the aircraft were displayed since McClellan AFB closed. The Museum's web site is www.aerospacemuseumofcalifornia.org

| Chris Carey Sacramento, CA | The "F-104B" that you state is on display at the Castle Air Museum is not a "B" model but a "D" model. McClellan is the only California Aviation Museum to have a genuine "B" model in their collection (McClellan's ex-NASA F-104B, N819NA, is one of only 23 ever made) and it may be seen at the McClellan Aviation Museum Air Park in Sacramento, CA., on Century Series Row. The McClellan B model is known affectionately as "Howling Howland", due to its Starfighter J-79 engine's unique wailing sound (produced at certain exhaust vane settings). | Ian Wallace Seattle, WA | I crewed F-104B 57-1302 while with the 538th FIS at what was then larson AFB, Moses Lake, Washington State. When the squadron was deactivated the bird went to the Tenessee ANG. I learned that it later perished in the hands of the Jordanian Air Force.
