Dont know much about aviation or Lockheeds........Just curious to find out more information about Frank "Sonny" Josker. I remember him and I have lost touch with him. Any information would be appreciated.

There has been lots of talk about the "retirement" of the Marine Corps oldest KC-130F out of VMGR-152. That aircraft being 147573.

My question is: Why isn't 147572, same squadron, the oldest KC-130F? I would think that 147572 was manufactured prior to 147753. Am I wrong?

I flew with Frank Josker (FE) when I was Flight mech in VMGR 152, out of Okinawa, Japan, back in 1980-81. Great guy, great times.

Good to see Michael Dehaven alive and kicking as they say.

Smper Fi to all.

Cherry Point is in the great state of North Carolina, not South.

My father, Frank "Sonny" Josker, used to tell us stories about flying back from worldly places, only to land on fumes, because some over-inflated pompas ass made a navigational error by not accounting for an entire leg of the trip.Hmmm, sound firmiliar?

I was in VMGR-152 from 24 April 2004 to 3 Mar 2007 and will never forget the hardest working legacy herks in the world, especially my favorite, 147573 callsign "ol girl"

Sure did enjoy working on the kc-130 during my time in the Marine Corps in VMGR 252 VMGR 152 and VMGRT 253

I stayed in aviation and worked many types of airframes
but nothing was like the herk !!!

Kevin Hagy good to see you are still able to catch a look at the herk.

Transitioned from OV10'S to KC-130F aircraft. Aircraft 249,688, 246, and 803 stand out. Loved working and flying on them. Worked Avionics shop. You really learned to troubleshoot on those aircraft. Saw 803 on the flight line a few weeks ago. True workhorses.

There are C-130s, then there are KC-130s, then there is BOB. If you've seen him, you've seen a legend. 160808. Served proudly with VMGR-252 while I was there.
