It hard to remember everything but the best times you never forget. From my B-52 days to the KC135A days, then on to the KC10 days. The 68th will always be a part of my life that will never die. I remember the good old KC-10A at SJAFB days. What else could a young guy do any better than that. Although, I have moved on, I truly miss the friends and aquaintances. I still miss and smelling hyd. fluid and JP-4 in my mind. I raise my glass to all of you and God Bless the good ol' USA.

Jim Trickel , CA | I was a crew chief on 0434 in 1980 test phase. If I remember, it was the 3rd aircraft built. Personal issues caused me to move on to Job Control, where they only made me make coffee once (I don't drink coffee)
The "job", KC 135 AR Shop, KC10 crew chief and Job Control, E4B for a year, helped me to get where I am today,

Bill Gross Barnegat, NJ | Hey Guys! Been awhile eh? I was a Crew Chief at Barksdale AFB LA on KC-10 79-0434 from 1987-1994. Then we transferred to McGuire AFB NJ in 1994 where I remained a Crew Chief on 79-0434 and then became the Production Superintendant over our 32 aircraft. (A job i am still doing! 2006) I miss you guys from 'ol BAFB!! we had some great times! Hope one day we can ALL get together and do some "back in the day" kinda stuff!
