Willy Logan Norman, OK | The aircraft in the picture is actually the Northrop M2-F2/3. The M2-F1 was a wooden glider that proved the lifting body concept before the all-metal, rocket-powered M2-F2 was tested. A crash of the M2-F2 prompted the conversion into the M2-F3 (with a center tail). 09/01/2005 @ 18:38 [ref: 11143] |
